Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel in Thamel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
Take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840 m), then trek to Phakding (2,652 m).
Trekking time: 3–4 hours | Distance: 9 km
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,400 m), the main trading and cultural center of the Khumbu region.
Trekking time: 5–6 hours | Distance: 12 km
Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Spend the day acclimatizing to the increasing altitude. You can explore Namche Bazaar and hike toward Syangboche (3,780 m) for beautiful views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Hiking time: 3–6 hours | Distance: 4–9 km
Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860 m), home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. Enjoy spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other Himalayan peaks along the way.
Trekking time: 6 hours | Distance: 12 km
Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche
Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410 m), passing through beautiful alpine landscapes and traditional Sherpa settlements.
Trekking time: 5–6 hours | Distance: 11 km
Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Spend another acclimatization day in Dingboche. Take a hike toward Nagarjun Hill (5,100 m) or Chhukung to help your body adjust to the high altitude and enjoy panoramic mountain views.
Hiking time: 4–8 hours
Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche
Continue the trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910 m), following the trail through the Khumbu Valley and along the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier.
Trekking time: 5–6 hours | Distance: 12 km
Day 9: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep
Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep and continue toward Everest Base Camp (5,364 m). Enjoy the incredible Himalayan scenery and the dramatic landscape surrounding the Khumbu Glacier before returning to Gorakshep for the night.

Day 10: Gorakshep to Kala Patthar and Pheriche
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for spectacular sunrise views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. Descend to Gorakshep and continue trekking to Pheriche (4,210 m).
Trekking time: 6–7 hours | Distance: 14 km
Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Descend from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), following the trail through forests, Sherpa villages, and beautiful mountain scenery.
Trekking time: 7–8 hours | Distance: 20 km
Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Continue the descent from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800 m), completing the final trekking section of the Everest Base Camp adventure.
Trekking time: 7–8 hours | Distance: 19 km
Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Take a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy a free afternoon to relax or explore the city. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 14: Departure Day
Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
